The Birth of DreamBigMissions (DBM):
In 2005 a book was suggested to Tabitha Ivy called ‘The Dreamgiver.’ As she absorbed the allegory about embracing the dreams laid in our heart, DBM was born. Her prayers became geared toward the concept that if God isn’t to be limited then why not “dream big.”
Shortly after, her local pastor, Dino Rizzo spoke about the same topic at a weekend service. This fueled and confirmed the desire to inspire people to think large and dream without limitation.
Our Heartbeat:
During these developing years, Tabitha encountered both hopeful and heart breaking stories of long term missions experiences. These stories exposed the truth that not all mission’s experiences strengthen and build the lives of the missionaries.
It is the heart of DBM to supply missionaries with support and tools to aid and equip their mission in order to be as successful as God would allow both physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Short and long term provisions are being planned and researched for future implementation.
Why is DBM Necessary?
DreamBigMissions is a necessary piece of the puzzle because the courage, passion
and submission it takes to embrace the mission field should be met with extreme
support from the body of Christ. As this support is often managed by the local church,
DBM intends to aid the local church by providing tools and resources where able.
