The following is a list of creative giving opportunities necessary for meeting the needs of missionaries in transition:
- Job Opportunities: Do you own a business or are you
able to provide short to medium term job opportunities for missionaries needing
to stay in the USA for longer periods of time or who are returning from the field
permanently?
- Communication: Can you provide a cell phone contract
for one year to be used for missionaries traveling in the US for short periods of
time, in which obtaining a cell phone contract would not be cost effective.
- Transportation: Do you have access to company cars,
a personal vehicle that is not in use or are you willing to rent a vehicle for a
specified amount of time to help visiting missionaries meet their travel requirements?
- Housing: Do you have an empty room in your house, access
to an empty apartment or unused rental property that the missionary or missionary
family can have access to while in the country?
- Adopt a Family in Re-Enrty: Are you being called to
support a family who is returning from the mission field for an undetermined amount
of time? This partnership opportunity can take many forms: financial support, child
care, friendship, helping the family get familiar with their new surroundings, and
meeting many other practical needs.
